Hey all! Could someone direct me to the correct spot? I want to make sure my wireless router is secure. I believe it is, but where do I go to double check? Thank you! The groovy Geek! heehehehe!

Do you have WEP or WPA enabled on your router? One thing you could do is check your wireless settings in the control panel on your computer. If you didn't have to type in a WEP/WPA key on your computer to connect to your wireless network, then neither will anybody else. Obviously if encryption is not enabled in Windows, then it will not be enabled on your router.

here is a simple way to check. get a friend that has wirless on a laptop or similar pda, and have them try to conect to your network. if they can, your network isn't sucure.

We did enter this long fat code in when we first hooked it up. Hmmm, wireless under control panel, I'll look for that. Any specific steps? Thank you, smile!
